HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes for Individual Sessions and 60-75 minutes for Couples or Family Sessions.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GO BEYOND THE ALLOCATED TIME FOR MY SESSION?

If you go beyond 10 minutes after your time is up, you will be charged for an additional session. If you know that you will need more than the allocated time, kindly book two sessions at a given time. Do be mindful that there may be a session after yours so it is not a guarantee that you will be able to extend while in the session.

HOW DO I BOOK MY SESSION ONCE I HAVE PURCHASED THE 6 SESSION PACKAGE?

Once you have purchased your 6 sessions, you can proceed to Booking Online. Select the available date and time that you want. On the right, you will see the Login section. Provide your Login details and that will automatically take it out of your 6-session package.

HOW LONG DOES THE 6-SESSION PACKAGE LAST?

The 6-session package is valid for 8 weeks from the start of your first session.  This is to maintain consistency of the sessions.

WHAT DO I DO IF THE PACKAGE IS ABOUT TO END AND I HAVE NOT FINISHED USING THE SESSIONS?

Please be mindful of the end date of your session package because once it is expired, it is no longer valid. If you are having difficulty getting an appointment online, do inform the therapist immediately so this can be resolved before the session package expires.

I WANT A PARTICULAR TIME ON THE CALENDAR AND I DON’T SEE ANY AVAILABILITY. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

This means that the appointment slot you want is already taken or that the therapist is not available.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE FOR MY SESSION?

If you are late for your session, your appointment time will begin at the allocated time and still end at the time it is supposed to end. However, should an emergency* arise, do inform the therapist to see if an extension can be provided or if there is a need to postpone the session.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY SESSION?

It is important to take full ownership of your therapy and ensure you attend the sessions. I encourage you to schedule your appointments on your calendar. If you do not receive a confirmation on your email, check your Junk mail and if it is not there, contact the therapist immediately. Sessions will be kept open for 30 minutes to give you an opportunity to show up. Once the 30 minutes expires, you will be seen as a no show, you will not be refunded for that session and you would need to schedule and pay for a new session. Emergency cases* can be discussed and considered.

HOW CAN I RESCHEDULE MY SESSION?

Kindly note that rescheduling needs to be done 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. You need to review available appointments online. Then email your therapist with your preferred alternative appointment.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I AM TRYING TO SCHEDULE MY SESSION WITHIN THE ALLOCATED PERIOD OF THE PACKAGE, BUT THERE ARE NO AVAILABLE SLOTS?

Please send an email to the therapist to figure out the best way forward.

I’VE BOOKED A SESSION, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE AN APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION EMAIL. WHAT DO I DO?

First check your Spam / Junk mail. If it is not there, please inform the therapist immediately via email.

WHAT IF I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD THE SESSIONS BUT WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THERAPY?

At SCH, your wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us as such if you are experiencing financial difficulties, please request for a Sliding Fee Scale Form to apply for a reduced rate.

IS THE 6-SESSION PACKAGE THE LENGTH OF MY TREATMENT?

No, it is not. The 6-session package is to allow clients to experience a discount because they are committing to attending the sessions consistently.
